Carbon-X, an open 14.8B model trained on DNA and text, released by Hugging Face
The decoder-only model accepts raw DNA in chat and answers in English, using 6-mer tokens and 302B tokens of mid-training. It averages 66.7% on five DNA benchmarks with thinking disabled, versus 67.5% for GPT-6.1 Sol, and runs on one 80 GB GPU under Apache 2.0. It is not clinically validated.
