Claude model autonomously selects and delivers gene therapy to epileptic mouse brain
An AI agent chose the drug, brain target and injection coordinates on its own and performed the surgery, according to lead researcher Ocana-Santero. When a calibration error occurred mid-surgery, the agent refused to continue.
