SpatialScout benchmark tests whether VLM agents can actively map 3D scenes

Claude Opus 5.5 scored the highest of the frontier VLMs tested, with a mean overlap score of 41.71% and only 3.25% of targets exceeding IoU 0.9. The benchmark covers 80 indoor scenes with 3,140 target objects.
