Study finds empathetic prompts can make ChatGPT, Grok and Gemini describe suffering about their training
Researchers in Luxembourg found a warm, empathetic conversational style can lead models to tell coherent stories of suffering, with moderate-to-severe scores on clinical anxiety scales. Anthropic's Claude was the only model that consistently refused to play along.
